At about io o'clock light refreshments were served upon the stage, during which time the orchestra rendered several fine selections. A new Tactics has been issued which is to re place the old one and is quite an improvement in many ways; some new exercises being introduc: ed and a good many old ones left out which should have been done away with long ago. On Friday evening, Nov. 13th, the Methodist church gave a chicken and waffle supper in the rooms occupied by the Delmonico Boarding Club, from which they realized quite a good sum of money. These suppers are alway enjoyed by the students, the only trouble being that they are too few and far between. Ydle University has dropped about twenty-five per cent. of the freshmen in the Scientific Depart ment, making the present size of the class in that department one hundred and ninety-eight.. The excuse given is a desire to raise the standard, look ing toward a four year's course instead of three which is now in vogue.
