our engineering students in order that the Journal may be a success, we hope that the students in general will aid them by handing in their sub- scriptions During the term three committees from the Legislature have visited and inspected our college. The third and last differed from the two previous ones inasmuch as it was entirely a voluntary com mittee composed of some forty members of both the Senate and House who, wishing to know for themselves the workings of the college, took the trouble and pains to come and see. They were shown through the various buildings, and after dining at the Hotel cle Greeb were escorted to the Chapel, where all the students were assembled. Senator Critchfield and Representative Morrel de livered short addresses, after which the committee adjourned to the campus to see the Battalion drill. After various evolutions the cadets were given the command "Parade Rest" when they were address ed by Colonel Montour. Soon after the commit teewere driven to Lemont where they took the train for Harrisburg. The following is the schedule of class games in base ball and tennis for the spring term. The first of a series of class base-ball games, scheduled for the spring term, was played on Sat urday May 2nd, between the Soph. and Prepdom teams. For some time '93's team was in the lead, but on account of a couple of errors in the sixth inning they allowed the "Preps" to tie' the score, and by close playing in the seventh inning the "Preps" managed to score three more runs at which time the game was called. The best play ing for '93 was done by Gross, Williamson and Or bin and for the "Preps" by Cartwright and Stuart.
