Miss Edith Clark, of Beech Creek, who was a student here a few years ago visited State College for a few days in the past month. Dr. Frear attended the meeting of the representatives of the Experiment Stations of Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, to determine upon a scale of fertilizer valuations for: the coming year. The meeting was held at New Haven, Conn., on the 21st and 22d of February. Professor Reber and Mr. Olds, made a trip in the past month to investigate the machine shops of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Cornell University. Mr. John Pemberton, past engineer of the U. S. N., has.been appointed by the govern ment, assistant professor of Mechanical En gineering at the college. Mr. Pemberton served a number of years as instructor at the United State Naval Academy and has just returned from Japan after several years stay there.
