This is something which this paper has been advocating ever since it came into existence. We hereby extend our thanks to the trustees. THERE is a rumor circulated to the effect . that Pennsylvania State Col lege is to have a signal service station. We hope for the confirmation of this report. I=l 1:2:= ecily be of great value 'to the experi mental station and farm, FOR some years past, there has been a telegraph line running through out the college building,. which is sup ported by the students. This line has now about a dozen instruments on it. It is of great profit to students to learn telegraphy, as it never comes amiss in our after-,life experiences. Not only is the knowlege of telegraphy of much impOrtance, but the conveni ence of easy communication froth one part of the building to another is of great consequence. . * * ACOMMITTEE has been appoint ed by the Junior class to make inquiry as to the expense of issuing an annual, containing the records of sports, the histories of the societies, &c. Now this is one thing which we have needed for a long:time, and many moves have 'been made in this direction before, but without success. The one great draw back is the cost of publishing the book, but by active canvassing we think that this could be avoided. The committee which has been appointed is one of un. usual "push," and we believe that be fore long we will have an annual to show what we are doing in the way of improvement from year to year. No. 8.
