The new Lutheran church of Johnstown will be dedicated to the serviee ef Almighty God on Sunday, 19th inst....The Woodvale Woolen Fac tory, Johnstown, which partially suspen ded operations ou the 1st of April, has resumed work in all its departments, with a full force ot hands... The Sabbath School convention at Johnstown was well atten ded. It is estimated that in the proces sion on Thursday, there were not less than fifteen hundred children.. ..Rev. David Harbison, at one time pastor of tho Pres byterian church of this place, has accep ted a call to preach at Salem Cross Roads, Westmoreland county.... On Tuesday, a horse attached to a light wagon ran off through our streets. For the distance of a quarter of a mile, the animal kept the middle of the road, but at Mr. Fenlon's residence, he ran in on the pavement, and was stopped by the wagon coming in con tact with a tree. The noise of the col lision frightened a second horse near by, also attached to a light wagon, and he too ran off. No great damage was done in either case. ...Gold has been discovered in Mifflin county, in small quantities..,. An Unprofitable Operation. .On Sunday last, a young man, (name to "us unknown,) who probably wanted to attend church in a new and stylish outfit, robbed the house of Mr. Rathbone, in Jackson township, of a gold watch, a silk vest, and a pair of fine pantaloons. The same even ing, he was arrested in Johnstown, and the stolen property recovered. On Mon day, he was brought hither and committed to jail, to await trial at the next term of our Quarter Sessions.
