Dear Alley. : The strike of tho puddlers and the sweltering heat of the weather have almost completely paralyzed business of all kinds in Johnstown during the past twoeeks. How long matters may thus remain, we do not pretend to decide; but this ia a fact, that, notwithstanding the pssertion that the "puddlers' strike has virtually ended," large numbers of them have left town to secure fair remunera tion for their labor elsewhere, while the few furnaces in operation last week were mauned by men some of whom, at least, are said never to have had a month's experi ence in the business.
