The Ovation to Our Soldiers on

for the Day." -The Committee appointed
by the Ladies of Etensburg to superin
tend the oration to be given oar soldiers
on the Fourth of July, beg leave to re
port that the following programme has
been agreed on :
Trayer Rev. Win. Lloyd.
Reading of the Declaration of Indepen
dence Phil S. Noon, Esq.
Oration Rev. R. 8. Christy.

Profs. Hugh H. Hughes and John How
ells, and instrumental music by Ebeni
burg Martial Band.
The dinner will be given in Lloyd a
Grove, immediately south of the Railroad
Depot Dishes to be uncovered at pre
cisely one o'clock, p. m.
On the good old epicurean principle
that the physical man should be minister
ed to in preference to the intellectual, the
dinner will precede the speeches
Baskets containing eatables should ar
rive on the ground at 10 o'clock, a. m.
Persons bringing plate and dishes are
requested to report the number and na
ture of the same to the Committee, who
will keep a register thereof, and 6ee that
none be lost.
It is deemed unnecessary here to make
a formal appeal to the public in behalf of
this ovation to our brave boys. The bare
announcement that such an ovation is to
be tendered, we feel confident, will bs
sufficient to cause one and all the peo
ple of the town as well as country to vie
with each other in liberality on the occa
sion. All returned soldiers of Ebensburg and
vicinity, of whatever term of service, are
cordially invited to be present. Every
arrangement will be made looking to their
comfort and enjoyment.
Citizens are also invited to come.
The ladies are expected to be on the
ground early, to assist t he Committee ih
the discharge of their duties.
In the evening, a grand display of
Fireworks will come off.
Oa behalf of the Committee,
D. I. EVANS, Chairman.

A Good Compleioit. No one can
be said to be devoid of beauty whopos
sessea a good complexion. In our varia
ble climate, it is almost the exception,
and our ladies in the bloom of years have
outlived this, their greatest charm. Their
skins become harsh, sallow and abraded,
and the enlarged pores fill up with disfig-
urincr snecks. Gresorie'a Enamel of
America most effectually corrects this, im
parting to the roughest and ugliest skin
the delicate coloring and smoothness of a
child's. It removes from its surface all
discolorations, whether appearing as freck
les, ian or morpbew, leaving it white,
clear and blooming. Soldiers returning
from the wars will find it most effective
in removing tan and sunburn. For sale
at Thompson's, Ebensburg.
"Who Wants to Buy? -Dr. Walter
Bell, of Snmmitville, will sell at public
sale, on Friday July 14tb, at 3 o'clock, p.
m., his house and lot situated in the cen
ter of the "Cresson grounds." The loca
tion is a most excellent one for a hotel or
summer residence.
