young man in Wheeling, Virginia, got cn
a spree recently, and alter having been
arrested and lined for disorderly conduct,
was conveyed to r. hotel by his friends,
when ho became frenzied with the idea
that he was in the hands of an infuriated
mob, and was about to suffer martyrdom
for his principles. "Gentlemen ex
postulated the frantic youth, as he was
hurried to his room, "gentlemen ! don't
injure me j don't hurt me; I um vrith you
in sentiment and in principle ; I am from
the South, gentlemen, from the extreme
South ! My God!" he yelled, as he was
suddenly chucked under the blanketa, "I
am from from South America !"

ridden as to have become forgotten in their
own neighborhoods, have suddenly reappeared

female sufferers, emaciated victims of appa
rent marasmus, sanguineous exhaustion, crit
ical changes, and that complication cf nervous
and dyspeptic aversion lo air aud exercise for
which the lihvsician has no name.

reasons familiar to medical men, the operation
of this preparation of iron must necessarily be
salutary, lor, unlike the old oxides, it is vigo

them.
