Welsh Rabbits. Some Lampeter
etudents went out shooting rabbits, and
one of them, an Aberdaron man, being
rather green, was told by the others not to
fpeak Welsh if he saw any game. After
watching some time he espied some bun
nies playing close by him, and bawled to
his companions, "lhi sunt cunkuJi"' (there
are the conies.) Instantly the white scuts
disappeared into their holes. "Diaoul"
uoth Aberdaron, "who would have tho't
of Welsh rabbits twigging Latin!"
