of the statement thai tho Oil Fever had

great plcasuro io giving all the informa
tion on the subject that oar immense re
sources can command. Therefore : Im
mediately on receipt of the news that such
was tho case, we despatched a reporter to
ascertain and note down the facts. But
after hunting all over the county, from
Johnstown to Fallen Timber and from
Plattville to Scalp Level, he gave it up as
i bad job. On returning home, however,
ht read in a neighboring journal that the
oleaginous complaint was rapidly becom
ing an epidemic; whereupon he packed
his duds and falling into the, ranks of the
vast procession that was rapidly making
tracks for the New Eldorado, he found no
difficulty in soon arriving at the scene of
his usefulness. As we intend to monop
olize all the news from that section, we
hare erected at our own private expense a
telegraph direct to the oil regions. We

VEMBER, inst., at one o'clock in the after
noon, the following real estate of which Jacob
Paul died seized, to wit:
One tract, situate in Richland township, in
the said county, adjoining lands of the heirs
of Jacob Stull, dee'd., on the souh west, land?
of Daniel Strayer on Lc west, land of the heirs
of Conrad Fye, dee'd., on the north, and land;
of the heirs of John Paul, dee'd., on the south,
containing two hundred acres, more or less
about seventy acres of which are cleared and
