About year since, the llev. D, Harbison lynch ed in the Presbyterian church in thus aee, a sermon from the text, "We all do fade as a leaf." Now that the season appropriate, a number of his conrretra- tion havo signified their appreciation of us discourse by requestinjr its rei.etition. The lievcrend. gentleman has tousented to gvatiiy this desire on the part of his friends, and has appointed next Sabbath, at lUj o clock m the morning, for that purpose. It is a solemn fact that, woncr or later. we must all die. P.ut amid the varied scenes and avocations of this world, we arc tao prone betimes to forget this im portant truth. It is well, therefore, that we be occasionally remiuded of it: and well may it be done by comparing our mortality with the faded leaf. How truly has it been eaid of man, that "to-day, he pats iorth the tender leaves of hope; to morrow, blo-so-.ns, and bears his blushing honors t;uek upon him; the next day comcs a frost, which nips the fdioot; and when he thinks his greatness is still as piring, he falls, liko autumn leaves, to en rich our mother earth.
