I -T FODDERING". CATTLE,
I see a discussion ii being held in
jour paper, as Jo whether cattle Bhould
be foddered two or four times a daj;
Without pretending to tqow anything
about it by critical experiment, it occurs
to me that doctors who write oa hyj?icino
. generally reccomnifnd that humans
' ahduld eat only tBree nines a day. But
"cattle have much larger stomachs in pro
portion than men, intowhich they rr--.ceiTe

inquiries made, and answers giren, in
your valaal'Ie paper, that it ia tcry de

woedchacks in tho ;-most thorough and
rxpeditious manner. I have had the
best succcis as follows ; -Tako aoy rmall

broom-makers use to bleach broom-corn

a piece of brimstone as large as a baiter-

make the iron

and cover tight with dirt. A few min
iates will suffice all animal life in the
hole. This may seem a lng process to
some, but if a small furnaco and a little
charcoal aro at hand, it is but the work
of a few minutes, or at least a boy can
operate on a good many woodchacks in
