TOU twenty years I was severely afflicted with
-- Tkttkh on the Face. and Head: the disease
commenced when I was seventeen years old, and
continued until the Fall of lSofi, varying in vio
lence, but without ever disappearing. During most
of the time, great part of my face was covered with
the eruption, frequently attended with violent itch
my, ; my bead ewellcd at times until it felt as if it
would hurst tho swelling was so great, that I could
scerecly get my hat on. During the long period
that I was afflicted witb the disease, I used a great

preparations') as well as taking inward remedies,
including a number of bottles of Swaim't Panaera,
Extracl of Sarsapuritla, Ac, In fact, it would bt

impossible to enumerate all tha medicines I used. I

ceiving much benefit, and I despaired of ever being
cured, hi the fill of 1836, the disease at tha time
being very violent, I commenced using the Rose
Ointmrnt. (nreoarod bv Vauchan cV Davis. In
a few supinations the violent itching ceased, the
Bwellitij; abateil, tha t runtion be;an to disappear,
and before I had used ajar the disease vat entirely
cured. It ha now been nearly a year-and a half
since, and there is not a vestige of tha disease re
maining, except the scars from th deep pits formed
by the disease. It is impossible for me to descrils
in a certificate the severity of the disease and my
suffering, but I will be pleased to give a fuller ac
connl to any person wanting further satisfaction,
who will call on me. At the time I communeed
using the Rose Ointment I would have given hun
dreds of dollut to be rid of the disease. Since a
sins; it, I have recommended it to several persons,
(among them my mother, who bad the disease bud
ly on her arm,) who were all curej hv it.

rPHIS is to certify that I was severely am cted
with Tetter in the hands and feet for upwards
of forty years; the disease was attended generally
with violent itching and swelling. I applied to a
number of physicians, and used a great many appli
cations without effecting a cure. About a year
since, I applied the Rose Ointment, which entirely
stopped the itchinn, and a few applications immedi
ately cured the disease, which there has been no
return of, although 1 had never been rid of it at

over all others is fully established, the proprie
tors take pleasure in laying before the public the
following certificate from a respectable physician,
a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr.
Baugh, having found in this remedy that relief fir
a tedious and disagreeable affection which the means
within the range of his profession failed to afford,
has not hesitated to give it his approbation, although
the prejudices and interests of that profession ate
opposed to secret Remedies.

eruption, which covered nearly one side of my face,
and extended over the ear, Mr. uughuu, piopric
tot of the Rose Ointment, obsening my face, nun

ded me a jar. Although in common with the mem
bers of my profession, I discountenance and disap
prove ot the numerous nostrums palmed upon the
public by it-noiant pretenders, I feel in justice bound
to except the Rose Ointment from that cla of me
dicines, and to give it my approbation, as it entire
ly cured the eruption, although it had resisted the
