(Cj The following tertijica'e describe one nfthe mnt extraordinary cum ever effected by any application. Phh.aiiki.pma, February 10, 18H3. TjOR twenty years I was severely afllictt d with -1- Txrrxn on the Face and Head: the disease commenced when I wis seventeen years old, and continued until the Fall of 1836, varying in vio lence, but without ever disappearing. During most of the time, great part of my face was covered with the eruption, frequently attended with violent itch ing; my head swelled al times until it felt a if it would burst the swelling was so grent. that I could scarcely pet my hat on. During the long period that I was afflicted with the disease, I useil a groat many at plications, (among them several celebrated preparation-) as w, II as taking; inward remedies, including a number of bottles of Swaim'g Panacea, Extract of Sarsnpnrila, Ac, In fact, it would be impossible to enumeiate all the medicines I used. I was also under the care of two of the most dis tinguished physicians of this city, but without re ceiving much benefit, and I despaired of ever being cured. In the fill of 18:10, the disease at the time being very violent, I commenced using the i?o.te Ointment, (prepared by Vaughan A Davis.) In a few applications the violent itching censed, the swelling abated, the t motion began to disappear, and before I had used 3 jar the di-enso was entirely cured. It has now been nearly a yiar and a half since, and there is not a vestige of the di.cae re maining, except the scars from the deep pits formed by the diiease. It is impoasible for me to describe in a certificate Ihe severity of the disease ami my snffiririg, but I will be pie ised to give a fuller ac connt lo any person wanting further satisfaction, who will call on me. At the time I cotnmonccd using the Rose Ointment I would have given bun dled of do lats to be rid of the disease. Since u sing it, I have recommended it lo several persons, (among them my mother, w ho had the disease bad ly on her arm,) who wi re a I cured bv it.
