IOR twenty yerg I was severely afflicted with
Ttt on the Face and Headt the disease
commenced when I Was seventeen years old, and
continued until the Fall of 1836, varying in vio
lence, but without ever disappearing. During most
of the time, great part of my fce was covered with
the eruption, frequently attended wiih violent itch
ing 1 my head swel'rd at timra until it felt s If it
would hurst ihe swelling was so great, thut I could
scarcely get my hat on. During ihe long period
that I was sfflicied wiih the disease, I uae il a great
many a plication', (among them several celebrated
preparations) ns w. II a Inking inw rd remedies,
including a number of bottles of Swaim'i Panacea,
Extract of Sarxtparilla, &c hi fact, il would le
iinpo-aihle to enumerate all the medicinea I used.
I was also under the dre of two of the most dis
tinguished physician of this city, but without re
ceiving mech benefit, nnd I despnired of ever being
cured. In Ihe fall of 1 8:10, ihe diene ut the lime
being very violent, I commenced usinc the Uutc
Ointment, (prepared by Vsughan & Davis. In
a few applications the violent itching ceased, the
swelling at.a'ed. the imption began to disappear,
and before I hud used a iar the disease was entirety
cured. It has now been nearly a yar and a half
since, snd there is not a vestige ol the disease re
maining, except the acais from the deep pits formed
by the disease. It is impossible for me to deseril
in a certificate the severity of tho disease and my
suir. ring, but I will be pie isrd to give a fuller ac
count lo any person wanting further satisfaction,
who will, c.dl on me.. At the time I commenced
using the Rose Ointment I would have given hun
dreds of do lots lo bo rid of the disease. Since ll-
sing it. I have recommended it to several persons.
