into which stir a tcajpoonful of flour, and
pour into tho dish with corn, or instead of
cream u c milk, and add a small piece of
butter : tendon with a teaspooulul of sugar

It is the easiest thing in the world to
keep butter sweet. Simply put it in clean
jars, and cover with a strong brine. This
will keep pure butter a year, fresh and
sweet, as we know by csrciieticc. It is d

heading, keeping the air out. But butter
should be made well ; we have never exper

and grease in summer. Such butter we
advise no ouc to try to pre.-crve.

ty of good ripe peaches, wipe them clean,
lay them one day in gi od biine, take them
out and pour sufficient cold vinegar over
thrm ; add a few -cgi:1u! of allspice, let
them stand a month, tube tbtm out, scald
them, and pour good told tpiced vinegar
