ders of the people, but especially of people
who raliv know their duties in this matter.

with sales from a '"grab bag," by the ladies,
and a small amount previously raised in the

Good feeling seemed to pervade the whole

the lecture.

one o'clock in the morning, ACHILLA, wile

It was my priviiene to visit Aunt Aurilla
during her last illness. On the afternoon
previous to her death I found her sinkine
rapidly. She had. dutitiif the day. called

prepare tor the solemn event that awaits us
all. About the last she ttid that we could
understand distinctly was in answer to a
question by the writer, that tdie was '"Trus
ting in Jesus." Thus she passed away,
clinging to the cross, her feet implanted on
the Rock ot Aces, h-r life had not been
free from care; but her end was peace. She
was a 'rue Hend. kind neighlior, devoted
wile, a tender indulgent mother, and a zeal
ous and warm-hearted christian. Her re
main were followed to the grave by many
weepins fiiends. The text selected for the
occasion was, "for I am ready to be ofTeted
and the time of mv departure is ar hand. I
have foueht a good fight, etc., 2 Timothy,

them as set forth in the foregoing statement
We find the amount due the county from him to

twelve cents. ( 1 2.34 12) The amount due from
unseated lands for county purposes is eight thou
sand, fiva hundred and twelve dollars and forty
one cnts,(S8 512 41). and lor bounty purposes four
thousand, two hundred and fifty-six dollars and
