j The members of the ''Clearfield Brass

publicly announce the treatment they receiv
ed ai tne hands of the people of New Wash
ington and vicinity, duringtheir recent visit
to that place. It is not meet that so much
goodnew and charity should be "hid under
a bushel," and be known ouly to the recipi
ents thereof. We went there in our profes
sional capacity as "blowers," to assist in the
dedication of their new Odd Fellows' Hall,
and were not prepared for such generous and
hospitable attention as almost persuaded
us that we were the "honored guests," and
the entertainment was solely for our benefit.
The highest seats in the Synagogue were
ours the best seats at the tabb were re
served for us, where we were Vrge(F' with
the "best the market could afford ;" and,
if we accpuired no reputation as musicians,
the good people of New Washington can
well reco.nmend us as "famine breeders."
In the dunce, among so much beauty, we al
ways had our share of the pretty girls. And
when
"Muio arose with its roluptuous strain.
Soft eyes looked lore toeyes which spake again.
And all went merry aa a marriage bell,"

We would like to particularize ; but wc can
not. Everj body was kind and everything
was good. May their lives be as long as the
recollection of their kiudiiess will be green
in our hearts.
We cannot close this card of thanks with
out giving special notice of the kindness of
Mr. Fouiz, of Curwensville, and also to the
family of Mr. Jeffiies, of thu Susquehanna
House, who way-laid uson our return home,
and g 've us a proof of that ho -pitality which
is proverbial among all who know them. A
"feast of good things" is not to be slighted
at any time.but when there is added thereto
a feast of "bright eyes and bright smiles,"
it is doubly palatable. We do not know
whether it is our personal appearance our
good looks our music or our profession, but
we do know it is a good thing to be a band.

This is the only way to eure the coasumption.
To these three medicines Dr. J. II. Schenek, ol

lungs, nature throws it off by an easy expectora

slight cough will throw it off, and the pationt has
rest and the lungs begin to beat To do this, the
Seaweed Tonic and Mandrske Pills mast be freely
used to cleanse the stomach and liver, so that the
Pulmonic Syrup aid the food will make good

Liver Con.plaint is ane of the most prominent
