formation of rivermcn, we would state that
Mr. Bauger, the Secretary of the William
pnrt Bocro Company, has informed Messrs.
Wright, Boynton and Graham, that the
schuteat that place is now completed and in
pood order, and that lumbermen will experi
ence no trouble there in the future.
Fire in Altoona. A destructive fire
occurred in Altoona on Railroad street.Fri
day morning. The fire broke out in the
rear office of the VimUcntnr.at 1 : 45 A. M-.
and raged until fix o'clock before the flames
were subdued. The indtcator building
bs burned, together with the grocery store
of J. Berkowitz. The office and frame
dwelling of R.A.O. Kerr was destroyed. and
tlx flames also communicated to the banking
loseu of Mr. Kerr, which was slightly dam
aged by fire. The total loss is estimated at
125,000.
