"THE DEIFT OP THE TIDE."
This being the last paper before the Oc

for the "tide," lut.as we proposed to "fight
it out on this line, we append a few exam

are still "drifting" on to more complete and
glorious victory.

The Clearfield Republican, of October
olst, 1s;s, contains the following notice in
reference to the ability displayed ly Judge
M'Enally upon the bench, which we com
mend to the citizens of this county :
"Judge M'Enally and his associates. Wil
he'in and Civile, ca.kd Court at 10 o'clock
on Monday morning, and at once proceeded
to business. Up to g' iog to press nothing
but Commonwealth casOs were being tried.
The sudden transfer of the new Judge from
the Bar to the Bench does not seem to dis
commode him in the least. lie manifests
Luet and executive ability in dispatching the
public business equal to any of his prede-ces-ors."
The Clinton End Cen're county papers
spoke with equal favor of Judge M'Enally.
after holding court in those counties. We
hope the citizens of Clearfield county will
bear these facts in mind, at the election on
the 13th instant.
Remember, if you desire to lessen
your taxes, ihc surest way to do sO is
is by electing Joseph B. M'Enally,
President Judjje.
