An oil well at the mouth of Oil creek, Pa., has yielded 96,390 gallons of oil in 85 days, firing the owners a net profit of $24,724, or nearly $300 per day. An old lady, whose son was about to pro ceed to the Black Sea, among ber parting ad monitions, gave him strict injunctions not to bathe in that sea, for she did not want him to come home a "nigger." - "So here I am, between two tailors," said a talkative fellow at a public table where two young tailors were seated, who had just com menced business for themselves.
