On a warm day, "the rankest compound of villain ous smell that ever offended nostril," as Billy .Shakespeare says, pervades the atmosphere in its vicinity. . The foul i-ffluvia that arises is pulling In jeopardy the health of our citizens; for wo believe it is a fact that the gases gene rated in such places, though they are specially adapted to plants and vegetation, arc offensive to our nostrils, ununited to our lungs, and noxious to our system. Some immediate ac tion should, therefore, be taken to have the swamp drained and filled up. The water could be drawn of! by underdralning ; and charcoal and coal ashes could be spread over the sur fcice, and would answer not only for filling up, but as a disinfecting ogent. ':no cure no pay,'1 I t ike pleasure in stating it? effects a' reported to luc by three brothers who live in this place, and their testimony is a fair specimen of all I have re ceived : . H. Conklin told me 'T had taken nine bot tle1; of Christie's Ague Ihilsaii, and continually run down while, using it until my longs and liver were Congested to that degree that blood discharged frcm mv mouth and bowels, eo that all thought it impossible for nie to live through another chill. The doctors too did all they could for mc, but tbo't I must die. Nothing did mc any good until I got Rhodo's Fever and Ague Cure, which at once re lieved mc of the distress and nausea at my stomach and pain iu my head and bowels, and produced a permanent cure iu a short time. H. M. Conklin says : "1 had been taking medi cine of as good a doctor as we have in our county, and taken any quantity of quinine and specifics without any good result, from 2."th August to 17tb December. Uut seeing how nicely it operated on my brother, I got a bottle of Rhodes' Fever and A gue Cure, which effected a permanent cure by us ing two-thirds of a bottle." S. M. Couklin was not hcrC; but both the other brothers say his case was the same as 11. M'a. I sold the medicine to both the sumo day. and the cure was as ppecdy from the same Fmall quantity, and I might so specify. Yours with respect. A. II L NTT NOT ON. The above speaks for itself. There arc several other industrious people who are applying to their poisonous trau all that I publish about my Fever and Ague Cure, or Anti doto t Malaria, except tho cerlilleatos of cores, and the certificate of tho celebrated Chemist.
