An Ordinance, to extend all ordinances here-
tofore passed by the Town Councilof the
Boreugh of Bellcfonte to the tomn of
Siithfield, and other purfioses.
Sec. 1. Be it ordained and enacted by
v the Town Conncit of the Borough af Belle-
Fonte, and it is hereby ordained and enacted
“by the authority of the same, "That from and
after the due promulgation of this Ordi-
nance, all ordinances heretofore passed by
the Town Council of the said Borough, that
are now in forfe be, and the same are here-
bv extended to the town of Smithfield, and
the other parts of Spring creek township,
that were annexed to the said Borough, by
an act of the Legislature, at their last ses-
sion. :
Spc. 2. And be it ordained, That, that
part of all ordinances heretofore passed by
the said Town Council, making it the duty
of the first named of the Council to act in
a judicial capacity, in the absence ina-
bility to act, or otherwise, of the burgess, be,
and the same is hereby repealed. Passed
into an ordinance July i5, 1814.

ON Moaday the 22d day of August, at
the house of Thomas Cummings Duns-
burg, at Public Vendue, one Lot of ground,
with the entire ferry right; and thirty o-
ther lots in the said town, and adjoining.
This place is handsomely situated and
well watered. Excellent spring-water may
be brought to every house at a small ex-
pense.~In the opinion of the best judges,
this will be a county town in a short time.
ALSO,
One tract of land, containing two hundred
and fifty-seven acres, about 16 miles trom
Dunsburg, known by the name of Rattie
Snake run. This tract is well timbered, and
has an excellent saw-mill seat, twenty rods
fiom the river, on a never-failing stream of
water. ;

One tract in Centre connty, on the West
Braich of the Susquehanna, first rate bot-
tom land, about seventéen miles from the
mouth of the Bald Eagle creek, containing
one hundred and eightacres. This tract 1s
"likewise well timbered---there are about 5
acres cleared on it. Possession of the ferry
and Lot will be given in onc year from the
day of sale; and of the other property, 1m-
‘mediately. The payments will ‘be made
light to purchasers, and indisputable titles
given the day after sale |

tion have this'day declared a dividend of
the profits arising under the same, which
will be paid to the stockholders under the
