after side of the forward stern poet will be about 130 feet,
and the distance between the forward and the after stern

The proposal must be accompanied by full specifications
and general drawings, having the potatiou of the centre of
gravity of the machinery, boilers, /r.c., marked on them,
giving also the canacisy of the steam cylineligs, pressure of
steam, area of .footand' delivery valves, and of air pump and
outboard delivery valves, space for steam above the water
line of tole bailers, the tire and grate furnace, also the diam
eter, pitch, airfare, mid kind of propeller and other prin
cipal pobittf; that comparisons' can readily be toads. '
The terms of payment will be that, when one-half of the
materials and labor provided for in the contract shall have
been completed to the satisfaction of the department, there
will be made a payment of par; of the whole amount of
the contract.: When the whole shall have been completed
and ready for erection in the ship a further payment of y a
will be made; and when a satisfactory trial of seven con
motive days shall have hem made, then a further payment
of y, ; and when the ship shall have performed satisfactorily
