SOAP, manufactured by B. C. .4 J. 11. ilawyer,
reCeiV*39 the preference over all other and over offend fur
Calmly uae.
Its advantages over other Soaps are :—lst. It 13 cheaper
to use, one pound being equal to three of common rooin
21. Half the time need only be occupied m vmshing
when this Soap 1.3 pied in place of other Soap. sd. Labor
in washing can be nearly thspeneed with, as the clothes
will requite little if any rete-ing, Cutts avoiding their wear
on the ~ va.z.ldbcarl. 4th. Idoiliag the clothes is urodeee,,sory
when this Soap 18 toed, and hard or bait water answers
equally as woll as sot% sth. ?rimers, Machinists, Painters
and others, Ind it far superior to otuer Soups. It speedily re
moves grease, tar, paint, printers' ink and dirt from the
hands, leaving the skin sett, and free from chapping.
To avoid the labor of rubbing the clothes, and the rise of
the wash-bead, the following directions should be followed :
For the washLg of edgdt or ten of a family. take one
pound of Soap, cut it into ehaviogs, and diedmive in one
gallon of hot utter; put the clothed into a tub contaluing
about tea galluh.s of warm water; pour iu tho dissolved
Soap, and stir thoroughly. Let them soak twenty to thirty
minutes, wring out, ancrrinso in warm water once, cold
water twice. A very dirty wrist-band, or seam,
or grease
spots, may require a alight rubbing, but otherwise the
clothes will cuing out clean and white, without rubbing ur
boiling. Cold Rater may be used lu place of het, requiring
about doable time in stdiing.
