German Bitters are adapted, it is with 'escrow we my it, is al
most universal; indeed there is scarcely a family throughout
the whole extant of our country in which there cannot lea
forted among Ito members that peculiar sallow and leneuid
appearance denoting a diseased Liver, or an emeeLetedand
coffering Dyspeptic.
Thep of what immenecamporteuato this class of invali
that a certain and reliable remedy Should be placed withl
their reach; ono in which no baneful or Injurious drug en.

rely with the utmost confidence and certainty, and be assured
from actual and tangible proofs that the article he ie using

throughout all parts of this continent, and the proprietoi
feels the greatest satisfaction in [grating that there 13 no
state, county, or even village, where the eadiciao bee been

It is used constantly in the practice of a largo number c.
the moat prominent Physicians in the country, who have

all three afflicted with any of the above diseases to give the
Bitters a trial, and rest assured lit will never be regretted.
In proof of the statements above Made, all are invited to

weaknesa, dimness of vision with peculiar spots appear in
before the eyes, lota of sight, wakefulness, dysperna, liver
diseases, eruptions upon the face, pain In the buck and heed,"
female irregularities and all improper discharges from both
sexes. It matters not from what cause the disease origina
ted, however long standing or obstinate the case, i'%croLi - j is
certain, and in a shorter time than a permanent care can be
effected by any other treatment, oven after the disesze has
bullied the skill of eminent physicians end resisted ail the r
means of cure. The medicines are pleasant without odor,
causing no sickness and free from mercury cr balmam. Dur
ing twenty years of practice, I have rescued from the iowa
of death many thousands, who, in the lust stages of the
above mentioned diseases had been given up to die by their
physicians, which warrants me in promising to the W.:toted,
who may place themselves under my care, a perfect and
most speedy cure. Secret diseases are the greatest enemies
to health, use they are the first cause of Consumption, Scro
fula and many other diseases, and should be a terror to the
human f mily. As a permanent cure is scarcely over effect
ed, a majority el the verses falling into the hands of incom
petent persons, who not only fail to core the diseases but
ruin the constitution, filling the system with mercury,
which, with the disease, banana the stiffens Late a rapid
Consumption,
Ent should the diensee and the treatment not canes death
speedily, and the victim marries, the disease is entailed
upon the children, who are born with feeble constitution:4
and the current of life corrupted by a virus which betrays
itself in Scrofula, Totter, Ulcers, Eruptions and other affec
tions of the skit', eyes, threat and lungs, entailing upon
them a brief existence of suffering and consigning them to
en early grave.
SELF .A_BUSE is another formidable enemy to health, fa , :
nothing else in the dread catalogue of human diseases camas
BO destructive a drain upon the system, drawing its thou
sands of victims through te few years of suffering down to an
untimely grave. It destroys the nervous system, rapidly
wastes away the energies of life, causes mental derangement,
prevents the proper development of the system, disqualifies
for =lmage society, business, and all earthly happiness,
and leaves the sufferer wretched in body and mind, p.redis
posed to Consumption and a train of evils more to be
dreaded than death itself. With the fullest confidence I as.
sure the unfortunate victims of fielf-Abuse that a permanent
and speedy cure can be effected, and with the abandonment
of ruinous practices my patients can be reetcrcd to robust,
vigorous health.
Tao afflicted are cautioned against the use of Patent Medi
cines, for there are so many ingenious snares in the columns
of the public, prints to catch and rob the unwary sufferers
that milhous . have their constitutions ruined by the vile
compounds at quack doctors, or the equally poisonous nos
trums vended az "Patent Medicines." I have carefully ana
lysed many of these called Patent Medicines and find that
nearly all of them contain Corrosive Sublimate, which is
one of the strongest preparations of mercury and a deadly
poison, which instead of curing the disease disables the eye,
tens for life.
Three•fourthe of the patent nostrums now in'uso are put
up by unprincipled and ignorant parsons, who do not under
stand even the alphabet of the materia ineclica, and are equal
ly as destitute of any knowledge of the human system, hav
ing one object only in view, and that to make money regard
loss of consequences.
Irregularities and all diseases of males and females treated
on principles established by twenty years of practice, and
sanctioned by thousands of the most remarkable curer.
