Sawyer, re receives the preference over all other kinds ever offend for family use. Its advantages over other Soaps are :—lst. It is cLeaper to use, one pound being equal to three of common rosin Soap. 2d. Half the time need only be occupied in washing when this Soap is need In place of other Soap. 3d. Labor in washing can be nearly d spensed with ? as the clothes will require little if any robbing, thus avoiding their wear on the wash-board. 4th. Boiling the clothes is unnecessary when this Soap is used, and hard or salt water answers equally as well as soft. 6th. Printers, Machinists, Painters and others, find it far superior to other Soaps. It speedily re moves grease, tar, paint, printers' Ink and dirt from the hands, leaving the skin soft, and free from chapping. To avoid the labor of rubbing the clothes, and the use of the wash-board, the following directions should be followed : For the washing of eight or ten of a family, take one pound of Soap, cut it into shavings, and dissolve in one gallon of hot water; put the clothes into a tub containing about ten gallons of warm water; pour in the dissolved Soap, and stir thoroughly. Let them soak twenty to thirty minutes, wring out, and: rinse in warm water once, cold water twice. A very dirty wrist-band, or seam, or grease spots, may require a slight rubbing, but otherwise the clothes will come out clean and white, without rubbing or boiling. Cold water may be used in place of hot, requiring about double time in soaking. -11kir Observe our name on each bar. Thousands 0 dollars have been expended in its manufacture and diflusion throughout all parts of this continent, and the proprietor feels the greatest satisfaction in stating that there is no state, county, or even village, where the Medicine has been introduced, that there cannot be found numbers willing testify to its virtues. It is used constantly in the practice of a largo number o . the most prominent Physicians in the country, who have also added their written testimony in evidence of its great virtues. In conclusion, thou, we would respectfully auk of all those afflicted with any of the above diseases to give the Bitters a trial, and rest assured it will never be regretted. It matters not from what cause the disease origina ted, however long standing or obstinate the case, recuccry is certain, and in a shorter time than a permanent cure can be effected by any other treatment, even after the disease has baffled the skill of eminent physicians and resisted ad the e means of care. The medicines are pleasant without odor, causing no sickness and free from mercury or balsam. Blar ing twenty years of practice, I have rescued from the jaws of death many thousands, who, in the Idat stages of the above mentioned diseases had beau given up to die by their physicians, which warrants me in promising to the afflicted, who may place themselves under my care, a perfect and most speedy cure. Secret diseases are the greatest OILOLIIied to health, as they are the first cause of Consumption, Scro fula and many other diseases, and should be a terror to the human family. As a permanent cure is scarcely ever effect ed, a majority of the cases falling into the hands of incom petent persons, who not only tail to cure the diseases but rain the constitution, filling the system with mercury, which, with the Ai' "ON hastens the sufferer into a rapid Consumption. Bat should the disease and the treatment not canoe death speedily, and the victim marries, the disease is entailed upon the children, who are born with feeble constitutions, and the current of life corrupted by a virus which betrays itself in Scrdfala, Totter, Ulcers, E7uptions arid other affec tion' of the skin, eyes, throat and lungs, entailing upon them a brief existence of suffering and consigning them to an early grave. BELE ABUSE is another formidable enemy to health, for nothing else in the dread catalogue of human diseases causes so destructive a drain upon the system, drawing its thou sands of victims through a few years of Buffering down to an untimely grave. It destroys the nervous system, rapidly wastes away the energies of life, causes mental derangement, prevents the proper development of the system, disqualifies for marriage, society, business, and all earthly happiness, and leaves the sufferer wretched in body and mind, predis posed to Consumption and a train of evils more to be dreaded than death itself. With the fullest confidence I as sure the unfortunate victims of Self-Abuse that a permanent and speedy cure can be effected, and with the abandonment of ruinous practices ray patients can be restored to robust, vigorous health. The afflicted aro cautioned against the nee of Patent Medi cines, for there aro so many ingenious snares in the columns of the public prints to catch and rob the unwary sufferers that millions have their constitutions ruined by the vile compounds of quack doctors, or the equally poisonous nos trums vended as "Patent Medicines." I have carefully ana lysed many of these called Patent Medicines and find that nearly all of them contain Corrosive Sublimate, which Is one of the strongest preparations of mercury and to deadly poison, which instead of curing the disease disables the eye .tem for life. 90c. ill 100 The 75e.
