The following is a copy of a subpoena rerred on
the Commissioners of Allegheny county and tho
Pennsylvania Railroad, to appear and show cause, if
any they have, why the County Bonds hypothecated

Mr. Clay, nf Alabatna, objected to the expenditure
of money for such a purpose, as there was no limit
to the amount, and no benefit could accrue from it.
Mr. Mason repliod, instancing the case of the res
tration of the ship Resolute, as duing much toward
encouraging friendly relations with England.
Mr. Seward corrected the erroneous impression
that Amin Bay was an impostor. Acts of kindness
andieourtosy, although not compensated by money,
never go unrewarded.

the late Mr. Simonson, who was murdered by a blow
with a slung shot, given on Saturday, took place this
afternoon. It was attended by an immense con
