in attributing such valuable properties. to this remedy, to
rash or unwarrantable assertion is made,:hut is simply state-1
a fart; proven undeniably and conclusively by the extram
dir.ary cares, and benefits derived from ifs use, under the
ructiou of its illustrious originator, Dr. Hooiland, among all
classes of European society, and from the immense mass o!
testimony, rival all parts of the American continent, acsn•
mutated during the last ten years, it the hands of the prtie
ent proprietor. The prevalence of diseases to which the
German Bitters aro adapted, it is with sorrow we say it, is al
most universal; indeed there is scarcely a family throughecd
the whole extant of our country in which there cannot b.o
found among its members that peculiar sallow and languid
appearance denoting a diseased Liver, •an emaciated and
Buffering Dyspeptic.
Then of what immense importance to lhis n 4 1 ,15.3 of vat d
that a certain and-reliable remedy should be placed with:
their reach; one in which nu baneful or inithions drug en
tars into its composition; a remodyon which the patient can
:ely with the utmost confidence and ixirtainty, and be assured
from actual and tangible proofs that the article he is using
really possesses the virtues attributed to it. Such a remedy
as “I.IOOFLAND'S GERMAN BI'ITERS." Thousands o
dollars have peon expended in its manufacture and dieusios
throughout all parts of this continent, and the proprietor
feels the greatest satisfaction in stating that thorn is no
state, county, or even village, where the Medicine has beta
introduced, that there canto; be mend numbers willing
testify to its virtues.
It is used constantly in the practice of a largo number o.
the most prominent Physicians in the eennuy, who have
also added their written testimony in evideece of its great
virtues. In conclusion, than, we would reiptetfully ask of
all those afflicted with any of the above ilist.nos to give the
Bitters.a trial, and rest assured it will never be regretted.
In proof of the statements above made, Mt are invited to
read attentively the Almanac published annually by the pro
prietor, for Farmeritand Families, containing a great num.
bar of useful receipts, in addition to the testimony in favor
of the hitters, from the most prominent and well known in
