ALBANY, August n ls.—The Wbig Convention yes terday adopted a series ocresoltiticom, find an ad dress antagonistic to Mr. Buchinan, on account of the Cincinnati platform, and to Col. Fremont because' of the sectional character of his party. The Ameri can platform was not endorsed, but the Whig organ ization and its principles are to ho maintained. A full delegation to the Baltimore Whig Convention was chiisen. Mr. Granger, the President of the Convention, spoke in the warmest manner of Mr. Fillmore, anti the Convention adjourned amid much enthusiasm. The resolutions were as follows : WHEREAS,. The old line Whigs of Now York have, in mass meeting, duly considered their position as Whigs, in connection with their duty to the country in the present crisis, and have candidly examined also the merits of the three Preahluniinl candidates now before the people, and the probable consequen ces of the election of either, therefore That we cannot support Buchanan, be cause we believe that an administration established un the Cincinnati plaiform will perpetuate internal agitation, and endanger our amicable relations with foreign powers. Rreolerd, That wo will oppose, to the utmost ex tent of our ability, the election of Mr. Fremont, he liyving that he i 6 not qualified for the Presidency of this Union; we tirtnly believe his election would in crease the internal strife the party he represects being in spirit sectional, and inevitably tending to disunion. ILvolred , That in the election of Millard Fillmore, we tied a sufe guarantee that domestic agitation will be quelled, harmony between the States restored, peace with foreign nations secured. and the interests of agriculture. commerce and manufactures promoted; and therefore we will labor unitedly and earnestly for his election. Rtsor'red, That while thus lending our aid to pro inute the eloetion of the American candidate, under the conviction that such is our s o lemn duty, we neveriliciess retain inviolahle the cherished Whig principles and organization and as soon after the present contest as may be e"nvenient, will resume separate party action. The addrea., and resolutions were adopted with en• thu, iasne applauen Mr. Intlmore's name heiug re• veis,,l with hearty cheers. One hundred I him sand were ordered to be printed for circulation.
