these truths I annex some ex tracts from a letter Just received
from a Physician _ .
JAS. A. RHODES. Esii.--Dear Sir: Yours of 21 lost. in at
hand. The Core arrived late last year and the ilifbcolty in
getting any one to try it was greatly Biwa:eta:l from the
fact that a remedy had been Introduced which was growing
in favor with the public, as being better than using Quinine
—not knowing I presume that the remedy they used to
escape taking Quinine, contained the drug itself!
This remedy, known as Smith's Tonic, would invariab y
break an ague, but It did not cure it, as it would often re.
turn with renewed vigor. This one circumstance I deemed
in your favor, if I could institute a test comparison between
It and your Cur,'. The following is the result:
Three persons took your Cure, all of which were cases of
Quotidian intermittent Fever, of many weeks standing.
They had tried Quinine, and other remedies, occasionally
missing a chill, but it was (as In all such cases) slowly wear
ing them out, and laying the foundation of other and seve
rer maladies. I did succeed in i electing a radical cure Of
all three of these cases with your remedy, and they have
not had a chill since. In all three of these cases the Smith's
Tonic had been used, awl would, as before stated, break the
chill, but after a period or two had elapsed It would return.
I think there will be no difficulty now in riving to your
Cure the vantage ground or any other remedy now in use

eases of the Inept by its role. When once tried, its supe
riority over every other molicine of ice kind, is too apparent
to escape obaervation, and where its virtues are known, the
public no longer hesitate wiatt antidote to employ for the
distressing and dangerous affections of the pulmonary or.
grins, which are incident to our climate.
Nothing hen called louder fur the earnest inquiry of medi
cal men, than the alarming prevalence and fatality of con
sumptive cnmplaints, nor has any ono class of diseases bad
more of their investigations and care. lint as yet no ade
quate remedy has been provided, on which the public could
depend for protection front attacks upon the respiratory or
gans, until the introduction of the CHERRY PECTORAL.
This article is the product of a long, laborious, and, I believe,
snoressful endeavor to furnish the community with such a
remedy. 01 this last statement the American people are now
themselves prepared to judge, and I appeal with confidence to
their decision. If there is any dependence to be placed in
what men of every class and station certify it has dune for
them; if we can trust our own senses, a hen we see dangerous
affections of the throat and lungs yield to it; if we can depend
on the assurance of Intelligent Physicians who make it their
business to know—in short, if Uteri. is any reliance upon any
thing. then it is irrefetatay proven that this medicine does re
lieve and does cum the class of diseases it is designed for, be
yond a 1 and :dl others that are known to mankind. If this be
true, it cannot be too freely published, nor too widely known.
The afflicted should know it. A remedy that cures is price
less to them. Parents should know it, their children are
priceless to them. All should know it, for health can be
priced to no one. Not only should It be circulated here, but
everywhere, not only in this roc try, but in all countries.
How faithfully we have acted on this conviction, is shown In
the fact that ulrealy this article has made the circles of the
globe. The sun never sets on its limits No continent is
without it, and but few peoples. Although not In so general
use in other uations cis iu this, it is employed by the more
intelligent I I almost all civilized countries. It is rates
rely employed in both Arrierica.—in Europe, Asia, Africa,
: Australia anti the far-off islands of the sea. Life is as dear
to its possessors there as here, mid they grasp at a valuable
remedy with even more iteidity. Unlike neat preparations
of its kind, it is an expensive ...imposition of costly material
, Still it is afforded to the public at a reasonably low price, and
what is of vastly more importance to them, its quality Is
never nufferisl to decline front its original standard of excel
; tense. Every hottle of this medicine, now inannfactored, is
I as gouil as ever Las bees etude heretofore, or as we are CS
pubis of making. Na toil or cost Is moored, in maintaining
it in the best perfection which it is possible to produce.
Hence the patient who procures the genuine Cabala FED.
roast, can rely on having as good an article ashen ever been
had by those who testify to its cares.
By pursuing this .urse. 1 hove the love of doing some
good in the world. as well es the satisfsctiou of believing
that much has been done already.
