TIIURSUAT MORNING Board of Licensers.—The attention of the Board yesterday was occupied in hearing remonstrances against the applications for license of James Mc Lees, or Mifflin township, F. Walker, of McKeesport, J. Wirtembaek, of McKeesport, Joseph Kepler, of South Pittsburgh, and Lorenz Winchell, of Sharpsburg. The case of James McLees, which was continued from Monday, was resumed yesterday morning. The applicant produced some half-dozen witnesses, all of whom testified to the good character of the applicant and his house. In the rase of F. Walker, of McKeesport, witnesses were examined who testified to the good reputation of the applicant and the necessity of the house. In the matter of the application of J. Wirtembuch, of McKeesport, evidence was also produced to prove the good character of the applicant for honesty and sobriety, and the necessity of the house. The remonstrance against Joseph Kepler, of South Pittsburgh, was that the house was unnecessary, and that it was the resort of drunkards on every day in the week. Several witnesses were examined in sup port of the application, who stated the house was a public convenience, and the applicant properly quali fied to keep such a house. The remonstrance against the granting of a license to Lorenz IVincbell, of Sharpahurg, was on the ground that the applicant was in the habit of getting intoxicated, and that his house was the resort of gain bless and drunkards. Pending the ease of Mr. Winchell, the Beard ad ourued until this morning.
