Mr. Trumbull introduced his bill to restore order and peace to Kansas, by proposing to bring it under the Territorial Oeverument of Nebraska. Mr. Trumbull explained that the only object of the bill was to extend the Territorial government of No. braska over Kanetts, and to abolish the present gov ernment of the latter territory, and the laws made by their Legislature. Ile thought that this proposi tion was worthy of some consideration, as there is a state of affairs now existing in Kansas which all good men must deplore. Mr. Douglas hoped that the bill would be referred to the Committee on Territories who would report on it at an early day.
