The Mardi term of the Courtsof.QttarterSessions
and Oyer and Terminer, commenced yesterday
morning.
After the organization of the Oland Jury. to whom
the tonal °hedge upon their duties was delivered by
Judge M'Clure, the Court called upon the constables,
of the various districts of the county to make return
of the number of bonses kept in violation of the re
straining liquor law of April 14th, 1856. The

arptorc of Dan. O'Brien.—A telegraphic despatch
so was receivedyesterday, by officer Hague, from Alli
ance. stating iliUb-a man answering to the description
of IMO. O'Brien. \ the fellow who lately escaped from
the county Jail, tied been arrested there. Jailor Phil
lips left in the SJo'cloek train of this 0. k P. It. R.,
for the purpose of bringing him in. At Alliance, ho
was suspected of being ono of the burglars who shot
Baldwin, at Lima, a few days since.- When the offi
cers were about arresting him, he fled into the woods,
and was not captured until after a three mile rime.
Upon examination nothing could be produced to show
that ho was one of the murderers of Baldwin, but the
officers of justice having read the account of his es
cape from our jail, concluded that he was one of that
party, and retained him. ?Ir. Phillips returned In
the evening, with O'Brien in custody.
Railroad Aceicleat.—The mail train of the Central
Railroad, due here on Sunday morning at 1 o'clock,
salt off the track at George's Station, three miles east
of Greensburg, smashing a baggage car and slightly
injuring the•loeomotivo. The express train, due at
Sunday noon, was detained by the accident some four
or five hours, a track having to be laid around the
mall train to enable the express to come on. The
express train arrived in the evening, and was coto
posed of twelve cars, having the passengers of the
night express train, which ;Lad also been delayed, and
the mail train, in addition to its own through passen
gers. No person was injured by the accident.

for rent, under faire pretences. The informator
corniest hint was made by John Vaughn, who alleged

for rent, and on the strength of this promise gate
him a receipt for thatasnount, but, when he received
it, instead,of paying the money, refused to give more
