The Committee on the Monongahela Wharf pre- Routed a report, together with an ordinance, relative to the collection of wharfage on iron landed on the wharf from the railroad of Wood, Morrol A; Co., and also for raising the salary of the Monongahela Wharf Master to $BOO .per annum.; and setting aside the revenue derived from the railroad wharfages for the purpose of paving the wharf. The ordinance was amended so as to appropriate the revenue until the present strip of paved wharf is completed to the western side of Liberty street. -Mr. M'Masters moved to strike out all relative to the increase of the Wharf Master's salary, upon which the yeas and nays wore called, and resulted as fol lows: Ayes—Duncan, Evans, Felix, Griffin, Hamil ton; Berth:Dan, Klrkpairick, king, Lewis, Mackin. M'Masters, Scott and Tucker—Li. Nays Barr, Black, Caldwell, Edgar, Getty, Gracey, Irwin, Little, M'Adams, Poor, Wilson and President-12. Carried. Mr. Lewis moved to indefinitely postpone the sub ject The yeas and nays were called, with the fol lowing result: Ayes—Duncan, Felix, Griffin, Kirk patrick. King, Lewis-0. Devitt, for office furniture, amounting to $2l 2b, Was read three times and passed. Nolte Proeequi Ref zised.—Ou Saturday, in the Court of Quarter Sessions, District Attorney Roberts made a motion for the Court to enter a nulls proseyri in the case of Frana- Heller, indicted for committing an assault upon a baker named Ilaas He said it was with extreme reluctance be made the motion: but as the case had been compromised by the magis trate, and the defendant released from jail without security, and was now out of the State, no chance of convicting him remained. The plaintiff had been so disabled by the injuries he received, as to be unable to pursue his business, and was now almost in starving condition. In case a r4,11e entered, he would receive a sum of money Iron the defendant, which would relieve his necessities. It was in view of these circumstances the !notion for a noire pro•cqui was made. Judge M'Clure, after hear ing the statement of Mr. Roberts, refused to allow the milk pros. to be entered, and reflected very se verely upon the magistrate for the course he had pursued, in allowing the case to be cutuproluised. Iluuston, of the Pennsylvania railroad. He also remained one lay with H. J. Lornbaert,Superintendent at Altoona, and on Saturday visited Col. T. A.
