Other juices °ram body, and disposes by this means„of
ncarlyall the impurities within us. The language of
Scripture is "in the Mood 'is the Life." if it ever be
comes impure, it may be traced directly to the stop!
page of the insougdeperspirntion...Thilt; We see, nit
that is necessary when the hlobdle stagnant, or in
fected, is to open the pores, and it relieved ASCU . ft OM
all impurity instantly. Its own heat and vitality are
sufficient, oithout one particle of medicine, except
to open the pores upon the surface. 'Thus-we - see
the tulle of taking so..much internal remedies; MI
practionert, however, direct their efforts -to restore
the Insensible Perspiration. The Thinnpaonian, for
instance, staim, the 11 . tirtipathist shrouds us in wet
blankets, the llomopathist deals out infinitissimals,
the Allopathist bleeds rind doses no With mercury,
and the blustering Quack gorges us with pills, pills,
pills.
To give some idea of the amount of tha Insensi- 1
tile Perspiration, we will state that the learned Dr.
Lewenhock; ascertained that live-eights of all we re-
ceive into the stomach, passed off by ties means. la's,
other words, if we eat and drink eight pounds per
day, we evacuate live pounds of it by the Insensible'
Perspiration.
Tbis'is none other than the used up particles of '
! the Wool, and ther juices giving place to the new
and fresh 0111,S. To check this, therefore, is to re
tain in the systein five-eights of all the virulent matter
that nature demands should leave the body.
By a sudden transition from heat to cold, the pores
are stopped, the perspiration ceases, and disease be-
I gins at once to develop° itself. llence, a stoppage of
this flow of the juices, originates so many com
-1 plaints.
It is by stopping.the pores, that overwhelms man
kind with coughs, colds, and consamption. Nine
tenths of the world die
,from diseases induced by a
; stoppage of the Insensible Perspiration.
s Let we ask, now, every candid mind, what course
seems the most reasonable to pursue, to unstop the
pores, atter they are 11105,11. Would you give physic
to unstop the pores? Or would you apply something
1 that would do th:s upon the suffice, where-the clog
i ging actually is? And yet 1 know of no physician
who makes any cahernal applications to .effect it.

Langnage fails to describe the salutary effects it pro

The citizens of Dayton and vicinity, well recol

and in all probability, sonic fragments or splinters of
the ram-rod passed through the "plura, , and pierced
the Lungs.
Alter the lapse of about six weeks, I was attacked
with a diVre.Siing rough and a violent pain in my
right Side. Soma ten days after tins when in a par

a latge quantity 'of 'err odensive matter, mixed

this opening there frequently passed a quantity of
air, supposed to issue from the lungs. During all
this time lay suffrriogs were almost int olerabte.
My physicians, meanwhile paid the strictest atten

From the Rev. Asa Shinn, of. the Protestant Method-
The undersigned having been afflicted (hiring the

predriug severe pain in the stomach for ten or twelve
hours without intermission, and having tried various
remedies with little client, was lit unshod With
of Dr. .I.s vu CARMINITIVE BALSAM. This he
used according to the directions, and found invaria
bly that tbia medicine caused the pain to abate in
hree or four minutes, and in titleeb or twenty min
utes every uneasy sensation was entirely quieted.
'rhe mt , dichie was afterwards used whenever indica

the pain was thereby prevented. lle continued to
use the medicine every evening, and sometimes in the
morning, and in a few weeks health was so far rel . '

amount of hppresaive pain. From experience, there

COMP.OfrN D SYRUP OF WILD CIIF.R.BY:
TULE GREATEST CURE EVERIRECORDED
I_ Dr, SwAstin---Deitr Sir: I feel it a debt, : pf
1 gratitude • ddeyint—aild n duty to the afflicted gen-.
erally, to offer My humble testimony in diver of your
Compound 'Syrup of Prunes Virginia, or Mild Cher
ry, or rather of its medicinal ,virtues.. .Sinne-tlitie
years sineed was violently nttacked with cold and
inflamation of the Lungs-, which vvas, accompanied
with a very distressing cough, pain.in the brcast a
bestirs . very considerable ,discharge -of .offeasibie
mucus from the lungs, frequent from them, especial
ly from changes of weather, however slight. At first
1 felt no alarm about-my condition, but; was pretty
aeon convinced that I was rapidly goirnrinto con-
suruption. I grew daily weaker„and nt length was
scarcely able to walk about, or speak above a wins
, per, such was the exceeding weakness of my 'lungs.
During this time J had tried various preparations and
„prescriptions, but found no relief7growing all the
time &Ise. Just here I was advised and persuaded
bi•-.a dear friend in Wilmington, to make trial 'of
your -Syrup of Wild Cherry; I must confess that pre
viously,L bad been prejudiced against patent medi
cines, and am still against those coming out Of the
hinds of. empiries, but understanding your clahns . to
the professien and practice of medicine, and having
implicit faith in the say so of my fridnd, I. forthwith
purchased of Dr. Shaw, one of your agents, a few
bottles, and commenced its use. My disease at:
this time was of .20 or 2-I months standing, conse
quently, was deeply'acated. It therefore requireA
time and a number of bottles to effeet a cure in
case; I diund, however, Considerable reli6f from , the
first four or five bottles. But being a public speaker,
I frequently attempted to peach with my increasing
strength and health, and thereby ruptured those i!! ! e- !
sets that had already began to heal, in this way, 1
doubtless, my cure was greatly retarded. In colise. 1
queues of acting thus imprudently, 1., had to use.l2
lor 15 bottles before I was perfectly reStored. I have,
I no question, a much smaller number. of betties
I would have made me sound, but for the @hove indis-
i cretion. ' The Syrnp allayed the feverish habit; (Rine
1 away the distressing cough, put a stop to the dis
-1 charge of matter from the lungs, and gave theth.and
I the entire system, good health. Thanks be to (Ind,
who bt the source of all health, and to Dr. Swayne
for it. I would recommend the Syrup to all per-
sons who may be affected with colds, cough or CoM
sumfdion. I verily believe it will cure consumption
in the first and second stages, and in the last, will
~ give ease and prolong life. It is an excellent meal
. 1 eine in cases of whooping cough, and is so Very
1 pleas:lld to the taste, that children will cry for it. I
nave deferred offering this certificate until now,: for
1 the purpose of being perd!ctly AalAied with the per
, : manency of the cure, and now that I feel perfectly
1:: ell, I offer it with pleasure. ,
