SUMMARY OF MARKETS. Yellow cora may be mimed about 69. c. ll bitshel. No change of price of Oats, and no sales of importance. ANOTHER PROOF of the efficacy of Dr. Click ner's Sugar Coated Pills in removing worms from 'children. Read and be convinced. This is to certify that nay child Eliza, between five and six years of age, having been for a long time past drooping, and getting much worse •of late, neither 'myself nor my wife being aware what was the mat ter with her, I thought perhaps one of Dr. Clickner , s pills might o her good—l gave her one at bed time, which acted on the bowels and .expelled a Tape worm four feet long, and a great number of worms, (over one hundred) about one inch long apparently of the same species. I have always been much opposed to advertised 'medicines, but through the advice of a friend who strenuously recommended them to me, I was induced to try them, and it Was through the great benefit I derived from their use in my complaint, that I felt disposed to give a dose to my daughter, although I knew not then what was the matter with her; and I verily beliero that had not the worms been dischar ged, she would not have survived to the present time. She commenced rapidly to improve and is now quite hearty and well. =EN Croghantrille, near Pittsburgh,July 16, 1846. Crrr or Prrrsnuam—Before me, Robert Mor row, an Alderman in and for said city, personally came William Cooper, who being duly affirmed, 'saith that the facts set forth in the foregoing state ment are just and true. WILLIAM COOPER. Affirmed and subscribed this 16th day or July, 1646. R. Monaow. Sold wholesale and retail at JACKSON'S Patent Medicine Warehouse, 89 Liberty street, head of Wood. Beware of fraud, and ask for CLICKNER'S Sugar Coated Pills. jy2s HIS fact is clearly demonstrated wherever we T have a sudden change - in the weather. It is at • this time that the seed of Consumption is sown in the system nurtured until the Lungs become serious ly and dangerously diseased, when in all probability the patient, for the first time, will begin to seek re lief. How , many-thousands thus neglect themselves and suffer-their Health, and finally their Life to be destroyed. - The first preceptible foot-prints of CON SUMPTION, experienced at sudden changes of the weather, are Hoarseness and Cough, Soreness of the Throat; and Irritation of the Bronchi. Pain in the Head, Coldness of the feet, and Sudden Chilliness over the'Body. At length the cough increases, and , finally prostration and languidness of the whole sys tem follows, which indicate a sudden decline of .Health, and the speedy approach of Consumption. These facts, plain as they appear to every sensible ,persondo not, however; seem to alarm those afflicted, until it may be to late. It is therefore'of the great est importance for those who may be attacked from the effects of sudden changes in our atmosphere to at on e procure DR. DUNCAN'S Celebrated Expecto rant Remedy, the greatest preventive and Life guard 4f CONSUMPTION, and the only certain medicine that will remove disase and again restore the LUNGS to their former Health. Dr, airman's Great Western Office is opened in cinnati at 150 Sycamore street, a few doors below' sth, where his Medicines can be obtained in large and small quantities. Sold at NVM. As a Spring Purifier, these pills have no equal, and for purify ing the blood, and purging and cleansing the stom ach and bOwels, they are the safest, best, and most efficacious in existence. If pills are necessa ry at all, Dr. Leidy's Blood Pills Will effect all that can be effected by any known pills in the world, for all the virtues that can be combined in pills are contained in them, and their established repu tation is the best proof of it. No other Pills are known to contain Sarsaparilla in them, and all other Pills called by names nearly similar, are manufactured only with a view to sell them on the reputation of the true and genuine DR. LEIDY'S SARSAPARILLA: VEGETABLE BLOOD PILLS, the first and original introduced by such name.. Be cautious, therefore; ask for and take no oth ers, and von will not be deceived in their effects, whilst if you take of the spurious, or imitations, you will not only be deceived by their effects; which are ofttimes serious and dangerous, but de ceived out of your money also. Male and female. young and old, can take them at all times ; in all diseases, without change of liv ing, restraint from occupation, or fear of expo- sure to all weather--containing neither mercury, minerals, nor any ingredient whatever that is un- ! friendly or dangerous to the constitution. Try them, try then; if their effects do not confirm the foregoing, their cost will be refunded by Dr. Leidy upon satisfactory evidence of it. For sale by B. A. THE WILSON PILLS, -as a -remedy peculiarly adaPted for headaches and dyspeptic affections, are pretty generally known and esteemed in this , community; and the proprietor, so, often awhe has occasion to write or speak of them/can scarcely re frain front an expression of his grateful acknowledg ments to his friends for their patronage and kindness to him. Hie feelings are the warmer Bona - observing the "beginning and the ending"--rthroxvn almost in jux.Mposition-7of so many . nostrums and kindred pre parations equally loud in their pretensions, and much more industriously presented to the public; while his preparation' noiselessly advances, even to remote places, soothing and comforting the afflicted, and permanently grafting itself upon the affections of new friends, thus continually widening the circle of its usefulness.: -Although well s satisfied that his medicine has, as it were, a principle of perpetuity in it, yet he is obliged to his friends for the most sub stantial evidence of the fact. In its natural history, if you please, tho Wilson Pill differs from most other preparations in not being originallymade for sale, or with.a view to pecuniary profit; while as every body knows,,the greatest tyro as a general thing) no sooner begins to dabble in drugs than he casts about for some cheap prepara tion or must ‘getxtp,t as the phrase is, something— anything that will sell. Often lie attempts it under an assumed or fictitious name, as though conscious his own were insufficient-to sell it. The difference then between the Wilson Pill.and the preparations a have just indicated, would appear to be this: The consciousness of the value of my pill originated the idea of putting them on sale for money, and at I price. The consciousness of the value of money originates in most instances the many preparations I have alluded to; and the price most likely to take' is always first carefully considered, and the pill or other preparation made and graduated to suit it. The one is a DISCOVERY, and conies from the great Arcane. of Universal Nature; the other a trick or invention, and comes from a not very popular quality of INDI VIDUAL Nature. Reader! the difference here is great. In one instance the value attached to the mu. is the starting point; in the other, the imam. But it is not probable that some of the many prepara tions having even such paternity were accidentally good, but that possibly by this process of "getting up" as they call it, by puffing and blowing, as we clean wheat, they have been "got up" too high be fore their specific gravity had been carefully ascer tained, and have blown off never, to be heard of, with other chaff—some lighter, some heavier. Whatever may be the rationale, must repeat it, that I am most profoundly thankful to my friends for their discrimination in notconsigning my discovery to that compenduous category of "inventions that did not answer"—of "tricks that won't win.." The. Wilson Pi!lsere useful as a GENERAL remedy, and may be kept and-taken, in proper doses, in fain flies, as a preventative of general ill health, or dis ease of whatever name, by any member of the fam ily, without any fear of the consequences of expo sure in the ordinary pursuits of business. fgThey may always t,e. had in any quantity of the proprietor, in Penn street, below Marbury, and of the .principal Druggists of this city and Allegheny. jy22-d&w7m MAKE NOTICE ALL THE PEOPLE—AGENCY REmovco--The celebrated medicines of Dr. T.
