ANOTHER PROOF the efficacy of Dr. Click
ners Sugar Coated Pills in removing worms
from children. Read and be convinced.
This is to certify that my child Eliza, between five
and six years of age, having been for a long time past
drooping, and getting much worse of late, neither
myself nor my wife being aware what was the mat
ter with her, .[ thought perhapsone of Dr. Clickners
pills might o her good—l gave her one at bed time,
which acted on the bowels and expelled a Tape
worm four feet long, and a great number of worms,
(over one hundred) about one inch long apparently
of the same species.
I have alWays been mach opposed to advertised
medicines, but through the advice of a friend who
strenuously recoinmeuded them to me, I was induced
to try them, and it was through die great benefit
derived from their use in my complaint, that I felt'
disposed to give a dose to my daughter, although I
knew not then what was the matter with her; and I
verily believe-that had not the worms been dischar
ged, she would not have survived to the present time.
She commenced rapidlyto improve and is now quite
hearty and Well

IMPORTANT FROM IULEXICOt
'Mexican forces Disrobing for the Fron.
Erpeded Bonbardment of Vera Cruz.
PROGRESS OF THE REVOLUTION
We yesterday published accounts from Havana
to the 2d inst. By the arrival of the schooner
Harmonius Walker, at New York on Monday
evening, we are now in possession of advices one
week later, two weeks later from Mexico.
The 11. W. brings an overlandmail from the Pa
cific, under seal for the U. S. Goi,emment, but
the nature of the important intelligence it is said
to contain, has not transpired.
We regret to state that the wife of our esteemed
Consul, Gen. Campbell, died on the 7th inst. at
Havana.
The tonnge dues had again been taken off mo-'
lasses vessels.
Mr. Paulin was delighting the inhabitants of
the Island with his balloon ascensions, in which
he had been very successful.
The English steamer Clyde, arrived at Havana
on the Bth inst., bringing advices from Vera Cruz
to the 23d ult; from the city of Mexico tothe 19th
ult., and from Tampica to the 2d Jmly.
From the New York Sun.
The revolution in favor of Santa Ana has ex
tended to all the cities from Acapulco to Mazza=
lan, embracing the departments on the Pacific;
which are now in arms against Paredes, with the
exception of Oajaca and La Pueblo, two southern
departments which remain neutral, yet in heart,
they are doubtless with Yucatan, their neighbor.—
Formal declarations of independence have been
received in Mexico from both the Californias.—
i The revolutionists of Jalisco having been attack
ed at Colena by the Paredes army, retired to Gua
ladaxara, a lame city, which they were fortifying.
A division of the forces was ordered by Paredes,
which had been intended for the defence of Mon
terey. The Usurper desires to suppress 01 do
mestic insurrections before he attacks Gen. Tay
lor. The Junta or Congress fixed the 6th of duly
for the close of its session. It has passed some
l
important acts. On the 40th of June it proceeded
to elect a President and Vice President. General
Paredes was declared President. and General Bra
vo Vice President. The former having obtained
permission to lead the army against the Ameri-1
cans, received his commission on the I brh of June,l
and the vanguard of the forces, under Gen. Arela-1
Ivo left on the l9th, en route for Monterey, and
Paredes would follow us soon as Bravo arrived',
from Vera Cruz. Gen. Bravo set out for the Ca
pitol on the 24th June. leaving Gen. lie sela to
command San Juan d'Ulloa and the Department
of Vera Cruz.
Meija is appointed Commander-in-Chief of the
Northern Di, irion of the army. Ampud i a re•
mains at San,Luis Potosi.
Arista is raid to be coming, to Mexico—at a
slow pace, we suppose; for we find a proclamationl
from him, dated at Linares. 4th June. calling on!
the army to rally for the salvation of the Republic.
In the mean time extravagant rumors are circula
ted in Abe newspapers relative to the American
forces. whose march upon the New Leon and Mon-1
terey is 'said to have commenced without oppien-1
tion. and the Vera Cruz papers have . it that Gen.'
Tay tor is within a day s journey of - Tampico.
An attack on the castle is said to have been plan
ned by Commodore Connor, to commence on the
loth July. with the following vessels: Frigate Cum
iberland, guns; do. Raritan, 50 (10. Pot >mac,
do. Con ette John Adams 2 do.; brig :Somers II)

tri"" Their virtues are so infallible that the money
w - ill be returned in all cases they do not give univer
sal satisfaction. Although but two and a half years
hate elapsed since these celebrated Pills were first
introduced to the public., the sale of them in the
Eastern and middle States has far exceeded Dr.
t'lickener's most sanguine expectations. During the
p...at year, alone, no less than 10,000 gross of boxes
has,' been sold in the State of New York, 6,000 in
P en i o iylvaton, 4,000 in Maryland, 3,000 iu New Jer
sey 2000 is Delaware, and 0,000 in the New England
`, taws, requiring the constant employment of 27
hands, exclusive of printers and engravers. In the
same period, upwards of 200,000 copies of the
"Family Doctor" !lase been ordered by agents in
every section of the cr.untry. These facts must
show, conclusively, that Dr. Clickener's Sugar Coat
ed Pills, besides being the very best medicine in the
world, are held in the highest estimation by the public.
We might extend this publication to an indefin
ite length, if We deemed it expedient to publish all
tersimonials we have received, not only from agents
but individual., and families, who have experienced
the benticiar effects of Clickener's Sugar Coated ,
Pills, but we deem it unnecessary. The most in
contest:tile evidence of 'their unprecedented success,
are the numberless Imitations and Counterfeits which
have already appeared, notwithstanding the brief pe
riod they have been before the . public. Even some
of our staunchest pill makers have had the audacity
to imitate the Capsule of Sugar, in order to disguise
the iugrudients of their vile compounds, and palm
them oil for the "real simon pure." Such paltry
shins cannot last long without exposing theirhideous
defiirunty. Truth and honesty must inevitably pre
vail over rascality and deception.

ta• Be Nam of an imitation article called Im
proved St gar Coated Pills, purporting to be patented,
as both the pills and the pretended patent are for
geries, gt t up by a miserable quack in New York,
who, for the last four or five years, has made his
living by counterfeiting popular medicines.
Kr Remember, Dr. C. V. Clickener is the original
inventor, of Sugar Coated Pills, and that nothing of
the sort }vas ever heard of until he introduced them
in June, h 843. Purchasers should, therefore, always
ask for Clickener's Sugar Coated Vegetable Pills, and
take no other, Or they will be made the victims of a
fraud. may 9

N EVER DESPAIR—You can be cured!
',MURRYSVILLE, (N. 3.) June 10, 1810.
Dr. D. JAYNE, No. 8 south Third street, Philadel
phia.—Dear Sir—l have this day had - an interview
with the gentleman of whom I made mention to you
as having taken your Expectorant with such decided'
effect. He is a respectable farmer, living u few miles
from here. I was so much interested in a detailed
account he gave me of his cough and cure, that 1
embrace the ,first liesure moment to communicate it
to you, and if the cure is as radical as it appears to
be, it is the most remarkable one I have ever known.
For 32 years (after having the measles) he has been
suffering with a cough or the most distressing kind,
getting worse as he advanced in years; (he is now b 5.)
Frequent terms of coughing and difficulty of breath
ing, lasting from an hour to an hour and a half,
would come, upon him, with such severity as to ex
haust him, with strangling until his eyes became
bloodshot: He had despaired of being cured, hay
ing tried physicians and a thousand things without
relief. For nine - weeks immediately previous to his
taking the Expectorant, he had not been able to 'go
to his barn, 'although there was the most: urgent ne
cessity for hini.to do so.
During the nine weeks he was under the care of
an eminent Physician, and be finally got just able to,
go out and came to my store, and, hearing_ his cough,
1 recommended to him your Espectoranf Ile first
said he had tried so many things that he had no con
fidence
in any thing; but I induced hint to take a bot
tle by telling him of persons of my acquaintance who
had been decidepl,f benc.;ttrd by it. This was on
Tuesday; that night he took of it, and says that it was
the first comfortable night's sleep he had enjoyed
for years. On the niursday following he went to
work, and has continued ro make a full band on his
farm ever since, (now nearly two months.) He told
me to-day that for the last week he had cut and split
a hundred rails, or made 100 panels of fence per day;
has been in the water to wash his sheep, and other
wise exposed, without the least symptom of a return
of his cough, it having entirely disappeared, arid,
strangest of all, one third of a bottle has produced
the effect. He seems so thankful and overjoyed that
he "wants to talk alrday about it," and says that if
he could not procure another bottle, he would refuse
$lOO for the remainder of the bottle he has left.
Your Canninitive Balsam I have used or recom
mended to others for the last ten year, with the
most salutary effect. Kespectfully yours,
.Hll Join.; H. ANDERSON
