Do not forget that to-night is the last night of
the season. Two e!xcellent Dramas—the "Pilot
of the German Ocein" and the "Robber of the
Rhine." Mr. DoWlibg appearing in the character
of "Long Tom Coffin,' for the first time,—he will
look the part and We.; think personate it well. Mr.
Mulholland sustains ;the character of "Schinderhan
nes" the robber of the Rhine. We have seen Mr.
M. in . sevetal characters of this kind, all of which
he did welt, and we have ho doubt but that he will
acquit himself this evening with great credit

give the "GOVernor" an earnest of what he may

The Prevailing ] Coughs and Col ds.—The speed
jest, most popOlar, and only generally admitted
positive cure for coughs, colds, influenza, difficulty
of breathing, hoarseness, soreness of the chest, tick
ling in the throat, &c., is Clickener's Sugar-coated
Vegetable Purgative Pills. They afford almost
immediate relief; ';and the most eminent of the fac
ulty recommend them exclusively in these diseases.
To enhance their value, being coated with sugar,
they have no titst whatever of medicine, so that a
child can take them as easy as peppermint drops;
and then again they produce not the slighest sen
sation of gripe or nausea. In short they are so
tituch superior to arty other known medicine that
a single trial will make any person a patron of
them for life; and so assured is the proprietor of
this, and -so confident in their never-failing virtues,'
that he will immediately return the money paid for
them in all cases where they do not give the most
unlimited satisfdction.

SONG FOR THE PEOPLE.
Atn—"/ dreamt that I dwelt in marble halls."
I dreamt thatl dwelt in marble halls,
With pimples and tan on my face;
And I thought that at parties, at soirees and balls,
I was ternied a repulsive disgrace.
I had riches!eniaugh, but, alas! could not count
On posses Sing a healthy skin;
Yet I thought that a whisper said, yon may surmount
Disfigureidents, be they hateful as sin.
dreamt that editors now sought myhand,
But they all did repudiate my face;
ror they cried, Though her features are formed mild
and bland,
The yelloW neck and pimpled skin arc disgrace,
Then I thought that I cried in a voice void of hope,
"Cure my pimples—make my skin white and fair;"
A voice answer , d, "Use a cake of the Jotrzs's famed
So AN
And yourimind will be free from despair."
Then I drearntlhat I used it; 0, that moment of bliss!
My-skin changed from its yellowish hue;
My neck - was made clear, and my face made to kiss,
Though an angel migh t claim it his due;
The pimples, the freckles, the blotches, the tan,
Had decaMped, and a voice by my
side
S till, indeed you will uow be) the glory of man,
Ay, the virtue, the hope, and the pride.
Sold at JACKSON'S Patent Medicine Warehouse

Ant—"rhe fine old English Genneman."
1 , 11 sing ycin a prime new Yankee song, made in a
Yankee State,
Of a fine old Yankee gentleman, who'd got a bald
old pate,
And who would not try to stop the same before it
got too late,
But used all sorts of useless-stuff at a very expensive
rate,
Like a fine old Yankee gentleman, &c.
This fine oltiman was loved by all, was reverenced
by the, fair,
But alas! he could not boast of wearing, his own
natural hair.
But was forced to wear a nasty wig, at which all men
did stare,
For his features all were noble, and his mind was
good, not rare.
In a fine old Yankee gentleman, Sac.
At length this good old man was told to go straight
off and give,
Three shillings for a bottle of Jonas' Ilata Itssro-
BATIVE,
Which, though the hair had long been dead, , twould
force, again to live,
And grow dark, soft, and beautiful, like a plant or an
olive;
On this fine old Yankee gentleman, fix.
Ile used but two small bottles, and his hair grew dark
and long,
No dandruff filled the scalp, for the roots grew heal
thy, ay, and strong,
And he says at last he's found the right, though he's
often tried the wrong,
And that JONES'S HAIR RESTORATIVE is all that's
stated in this song,
Of a fine old Yankee gentleman, &c.

IVO CURE, NO PAY—SELLERS' LI V ER PILLS
j' These celebrated pills claim public confidence,
not only on account of what the proprietor may say
about them, but on account of the good resulting
from their use. Read the following statement from
a citizen of Birmingham:—
Birmingham, June 24th 1846.
Mr. IL E. Sellers: I take this opportunity of testi
fying in favor of your invaluable medicine. About
two years ago I was taken down with severe inflame-
tion of the liver; and was so reduced by night sweats
and other affects of this dreadful disease that toy life
was dispaired of. After other means had faded, 1
was advised by my Physician to try your Liver Pills;
and 1 must say that alter taking one box and a half I
have been restored to reasonable health, which I en
joy at this time. I therefbre take pleasure in recom
mending them to others afflicted with disease of the
liver. Yours respectfully,
JOHN GIVEN ER.
These Pills stand unequalled by any medicine
known for the cure of Liver Complaint, and may be
had of the prorietor, It. Sellers, E. 17 Wood street,

most efficacious in existence. If pills are necessa

can be effected by any known pills in the world,l
for all the virtues that can be combined in pills
are contained in them, and their established repu- 1

other Pills called by names nearly similar, are

Be cautious, therefore; ask for and take no oth-1

whilst if you take of the spurious, or imitations,
you will not only be deceived by their effects,
which are °Mimes serious and dangerous, but de
ceived out of your money also.
Male and female, young and old, cnn take them
at all times, hi all diseases, without change of liv

PDF, citizens of Pittsburgh continue to be offered
an opportunity to effect insurance upon their
property, by a Domestic institution located 'among
thetnsefves based upon domestic capital, and con

good faith they can readily ascertain whether they
may repose that undoubted security which should
ever attend an assurance transaction.
To persons whose properly has already been dam

personally adjusting the loss with an institution AT

no recommendation. The prompt payment of the
