D ARE CHANCE FOR GOOD INVESTMENTS ! it The subscriber has laid out, and now offers for sale at reasonable prices and on accommodating tents, one hundred and ten building lots, on that handsome leVel ground between Braddock street and the Monongahela river. They are about one-third of a mile from the city line, and are situated in that part of the city!district which will probably soon be annexed to the city as the Seventh Ward. No pro petty in the suburbs possesses superior' advantages, : nor has any heretofore been laid out with so liberal an allowance of wide streets; Braddock: is front one hundred and twenty to about one hundred and ninety feet wide, and Beelen, Commerce, Brady, Columbus anti Water streets, all wide avenues: Most of the lots have two fronts, and as they are of various sizes, and will be sold one lot, with the priuilege of four or five, early applibants can be accommodated to suit their own views of improvement. Per Sons who de sire to build or to make secure inveitMents in pro perty that is sure to advance in value, and particular ly those who intend to erect manulitctories would do well to viewithese lots and examine the draft be fore purchasing elsewhere. The survey fin the Bal timore and Ohie railroad and the railroad survey by the State of Pennsylvania were both made alongside of this property, and it is generally conaidered that Braddock street or the ground immediately alongside of it, affords the only eligible route kir a railroad from Pittsburgh to the East. Coal can be delivered on this property, at a much less cost than on the Al legheny river, and there is always deep water at this part of the river- E. D. SWAYNE'S COMPOUND SYRUP OF WILD CHERRY, TIIE ORIGINAL AND GENUINE ! Conghs, Colds, Asthmit, Bronchitis, Liver Con/plaint Spitting Blood, Difficulty of Breathing, Pain in the Side and Breast, Palpitation ofthe Heart, Influenza, Croup, Broken Constitution, Sore Throat, Nervous Debility, and all diseases of Throat, Breast itnil Lungs, the most effectual and speedy cure ever known for any of the COMPOUND SYRUP OF WILD CHERRY rr HE GREATEST CURE EVER RECORDED: _L Dr. Sw.!ivivc—Dear Sire I feel it a debt of gratitude due you—and a duty to the afflicted gen erally, to offer my humble testimony in favor of your Compound Syrup of Prunus Virginia, or Wild Cher ry, or rather of its medicinal virtues. Some three ears since 1 was violently attacked with cold and inflaniation of the. Lungs, which was accompanied with a very distressing cough, pain in the breast and head; a very considerable discharge of offensive mucus ti-em the lungs, frequent from them, especial ly from change's of weather, however alight. At first I felt no alarm about my condition, but was pretty soon convinced that I was rapidly going into con sumption. I grew daily weaker, and at length was scarcely able to walk about, or speak above a whis per, such was the exceeding weakness of my lungs. During this time I had tried various preparations and prescriptions, but found no relief—growing all the time worse. Just here I was advised and persuaded by a dear friend in Wilmington, to make trial of your Syrup of Wild Cherry; I must confess that pre-. viously I had been prejudiced against patent meth-, eines:, and ani still against those coming out of the liandS of empirics, but understanding your claims to 'the profession and practice of medicine, and having implicit faith in the say so of my friend, I forthwith: purchased of Dr. Shaw, one of your agents, a fewd bottles, and commenced its use. My disease at this time was of 20 or 24 months standing, conse-J quently, was deeply seated. It therefore required time and , a number of bottles to effect a cure in my case• ' I.fouud, however; considerable relief (him the first four or five bottles. But being a public speaker,' I frequently attempted to preach with my increasing strength and health, and thereby ruptured those Yes-. eels that had already began to heal, in this way, doubtless, my cure waslgreatly retarded. In conse quence of acting thus iniprudently, I had to use 12 or 15 bottles before I was perfectly restored.. I have no question, a much !smaller number - of bottles would have made me sound, but for the above indis-' cretion. The Syrup allayed the feverish habit, done away the distressing cough, put a stop to the dis charge of matter from the lungs, and gave them and the entire system, good ' , health. Thanks be to God, who is the source of all health, and to Dr. Swaync for it. I would recommend the Syrup to all per sons who may be affected with colds, cough or con sumption. I verily believe it will cure consumption in the first and secontlStages, and in the last, will give ease and prolong life. It is an excellent medi cine in cases of whooping cough, and is so very pleasant to the taste, that children will cry for it. - I have deferred offering this certificate until now, for the purpose of being perfectly satisfied with the per manency of the cure, and now that I feel perfectly well, I offer it with plea Sure.
