COMPOUND SYRUP OF WILD CHERRY.
gill}... GREATEST CURE' EVER RECORDED!--
.1-Dr. SwArKE—Dear Sir: I .feel it a debt of
gratitUde due you—and a duty to the afflicted gen
erally, to offer my humble testimony in litvor of your
Compound Syrup or Prunus Virginia, or Wild Cher
ry, or rather of its medicinal virtues. Solite tMee
years since I was violently 'attacked with cold and
eillaination of the Lungs, which Was accompanied
0 nit a very distressing cough, pain in the breast and
head; a very cousiderable discharge of otfuillive
mucus front the lungs, frequent from them, especial-.
ly front changes of weather, however alight. At first
I felt no alarm about my condition, but was pretty
soeu convinced that I was 'rapidly going into con
suniptiou. I grew daily weaker, and at lengtlfivas
scarcely-able to walk abOut, or speak aboyc a whis
per, such was the exceeding Weakness of my lungs.
During this time I had tried rarions Preparations- and
prescriptions, but found no relief--growing all the
time worse. Just here I was 'advised and persuaded
by a dear friend in Willaing, toir, to make trial of
your Syrup of Wild Cherry; I:must confess that pre
viously I had been prejudiced against patent medi
cines, and am still aginett those coming out of the
hands of empiries, but - tindcr 4 stancling your clahris to
the profession and practice of medicine, and having
implicit faith in the say so of till friend, I forthwith
purchased of Dr. Shaw, one or your agents ; a few
bottlei, and consineticeiLits...usti. My — disease at,
this time was of Dl or. 24 months standifig, conse
quently, was deeply seated. It therefore required
time and a number of bottles tp effect a mire - in ' My
case; I found, however; considerable; relieffrom the
firsf-four or five bottleti. But being a public speaker,
I frequently attempted to preach with toy increasing
strength and health; aino-theretiy ruptured' those ves
sels that had already began to heal, in this way,
doubtlessony cure was greatly retarded. In COIIMI7
tillt3llCC of acting thus Miprudently, I had to use 12
or-1P bottles before I was perfectly restored. I have
no question; a much smaller number of bottles
would have made me sound, but for the above indis
eretion. Tbe Syrup allayed the feverish habit, done
away the distressitlgleough, put a stop to, the dis
charge of matter front the lungs; and gavethetti and
the entire system; good health. Thanks be to' Godi
who :is the source of all.health, and toOr. Steayne'i
for it. Lwoulit recommend the Syrup to all
