It was now reduced to a certainty, that tea/nation
of the hangs was rapidly taking plistc;,,.and that this
would terminate my life in a very short time, was in
the highest degree probable.
At this critical stage, a messenger, was despatched
to Cincinnati, and a celebrated Physician of that

be done by medical aid, if the constitution itself was
not sufficient to throw off the &sew:.
My friends now despaired of my recovery, and I
had, no earthly ground of hope to survive many days.
Fortunately at this juncture, I saw One of Dr: Wis

or "Treatise on-Consumption of the Lungs." As I
had often heard of dying men "catching at straws,"
I felt this doing so myself. By the consent Of my
Physicians, 1 sent to you fora bottle of the medicine
described viz: "Wistaes Balsam of Wild Cherry,"
which relieved me almost immediately. Alter I
had used some five or six bottles Isofur recovered as

handsome level 'ground between liraddock street and
the Monongahela river. They are - about one-third
of a mile from the city line, aid are situated in that
part of the city district which will: probably soon be
annexed to the city as the Seventh Ward. No pro
perty in the suhurbs possessei , superior advantages,
nor has any.heretofore been laid out with so liberal
an-allowance of wide streets; praddock is from one
hundred and twenty to about one hundred and ninety
feet wide; and Beeleri '
Commerce, Brady, Columbus
and Water wreets, all wide avenues. Most of the
lots have two fronts, and as they are of various sizes,
and will be sold one lot, with the priuilege of four or
five, early applicants can be accommodated to suit
their
.own views of improvement. ~Persons who de
sire to build or,to make Secure investments in pro
perty that is sure to advance in value, and particular
ly- those Who intend to erect manufactories, would
do well to view these lots and examine the draft be
fore purchasing elsewhere. The survey for the Bal

the State:of Pennsylvania were both made alongside
of this property, aad it is generally considered that
Braddock street, or the ground immediately alongside
of it, affords the only eligible route. for a railroad,
from Pittaburgh to the Last, Coal can -he delivered
on this property at a much less cost than at the Al
legheny river, and there is always deep water at this
