ANOTIIER VOICE FROM MAINE
Dear Sir,—Having experienced great benefit from
your invaluable medicine, I feel it my duty and privi
lege to jet tho world know what it has done fur me.
Possetrid'Of a shun constitution naturally, I had en
joyed perfgct health previous to the spring of 184
when I was troubled with a difficuly in ray left side,:
attended with considerable pain. Sometime in July,
I. Was violently attacted wtth a tough, which continued
until fall; then I was confined to the house eight months
during which rime my cough was very severe. I fre
quently had spells of coughing which lasted two hours,
—daily raised large quantities of disagreeable mutter,
necompanied with blood; sometimes) raised a quart of
blood at a time. I consulted three physicians, all of
whom done their beat to restore me,—gave me up,—
sa id si s sy could do no More for me,-17 must
wa n impossible for me to live but a short tame; one of
them said my lungs were gone. At this critical mo
ment, when emminent physicians bad exnusted their
skill, friends diapaired of my lira, my own hope of re
covery at un end. I resorted to Dr. Wistar'S Balsam of
NVild Cherry; when I had taken one and a hnifbottles,
those severe spells of coughing were removed. I eon
tinned taking the Balsam until opting, (April, 1844.)
when I ceased to bleed at the lungs, my health and
strength improved so that I left the house, but was
not able to work fora year. Now my health is good;
I am able to do a day's work every day on my form.
