ANOTHER VOICE FROM MAINE.
WOODDOROgGII, Mc.. July 30, 1840..
Dear Sir,—Having experienced greutbenefit from
our invaluable medicine, I feel it my duty and FM.
lege to let the world know what it has done fur me.
Possessed of a tong constitution naturally, I had en.
joyed perfect health previous to the spring of 1843,
when I was troubled with a difficuly in my left side.
aanntleti with considerable pain. Sometime in July,
I was violently uttacted with a cough, which continued
until fall: then I was confined to the house eight months
during which time my cough was very severe. I fee-
quently had spells of coughing which lasted tao hours„
—daily raised large quantities of disagretuthle matter,
accompanied with blood; sometimes I raised a quart of
blood at a time. I consulted three physicians, all of
whom done their best to restore me,—gave me u p,—
said they could do no More Poi me :4 must die,-4t
was impossible fur me to live but a short time; one of
them said my lungs were gone. At this critical mo
ment, when emminent physicians bad monster! their
skill, friends dispirited of my life, my own hope of re
covery at an end, I resorted to Dr. ‘Vistur's Balsam of
Wild Cherry; when I had taken one and n halfbotties.
those severe spells of coughing were removed. Icon.
'tinued taking the Balsam until spring, (April, 1844.
when I ceased to bleed at the lunge, my health and
strength improved do that I left the house, but was
not able to work fot a year. Now my health is good;
I am able to do it day's sloth every day on my form.
