I certify that my wife was afflicted, fur fourteen years, during which time her disease baffled the skill of several eminent physicians. Finding that every . means that were used failed to relieve her, I canclu ded to place her in the Pennsylvania Hospital, hoping that, under the care and treatment she, would there receive feom the Physicians in that institution, she might again be restored to health. But lo my great disappointment, she grew worse and became deranged in her mind, and. I was ohligedtotake her home a g ain, 4.tacunente and BEREFT OF REASON. Iwill - here mention that at.this time the more prominent symptoms of her disease were Dyspepsia and Liver Complaint, attended with sickness of the stomach, and vomiting of a very offensive fretid Mucous, pains in her bead, bark and stomach, and through the region of the heart, a vonbleaotne cough from large quanti ties of phlegm in . her throat, which kept her coetirot ally gagging and retching to throw it tip. She hod no appetite, and was very weak. She also sacred very much from a uterine disease by which she was confined to her bed, having entirely lost the use of her-limbs, and for several months we had to lift her in and out of bed And to all the above,, deranged state of her mind (which at this time was truly awful,) .and you will be able to form some idea ;of her afflic tidhs, • By the advice of n friend we commenced giving her I your ALTERATIVE, in the doses of a teaspoonful kbnie times a dui, and found that it helped heir.
