Daowere.—A young man named Gots/se/ea, a
passenger on the steamer Revenue Culler, fell over.
board, and was drowned, last night, about nine miles
below this city. He. we learn, came in the stage
from Warren. Ohio. to Beaver, and there took passage
on the boat; he was young, not over twenty years of
age. The Cap:ain and crew of the boat made ever•
esertion in their power to save him, but without sue-
e Theatre, notwithstanding the inclemeney
of the weather, has been very well attended during
the week. Mr Porter has now one of the best Com
pany'a in the country. and certainly the very best that
we have seen in Pittsburgh for a number of years.—
We have witnessed, during the week, some of the
heaviest plays in the Diama. performed without •
s•etar," and done well, ton. Mr Morris' personifica
tion of "Pierre," "logo," and "Sir Giles Over ,
reed," we have seldom seen equalled. Mr Frede
ricks and Mr Smith, to say nothing of "Old Logan,'
whams every body knows, and the remainder of the
company, are all able to perform admirably the parts
for which they have been selected. It will be sees by
the brills that the celebrated "Hacked" is engaged,
and will appear to-night.
