generality. the astonishing effect your truly won•

me my liver was diseased,—nod that I might some
day, die with Consumption. Last September, 1841,
took a slight cold, which !induced a hacking rough;
this continued until February, 1845, when I added
another cold; my cough iriereased, I aeon Inst my ap
petite, and my strength failed; fur six weeks I could
not lie upon one side: I sweat very much at nights,
raised consi•litruhle blood dui the winter and could
not speak a loud word for two weeks. With all these
symptoms. I had very severe ',tins in my aide, and
le•tv.een ml shoulders; general debility followed. I
was confined to my room about eight weeks. I had
buried a sister and brother, both diet) with Consump
tion. I expected to die rris self; my 'fiends also des•
paired of my life. At thiie time, an uncle, who bud
been lienefited himself, advised me to take 1)r Wistar's

bottle, trek it, and felt some better; obtained another,
and a third: then I ceased to bleed, and my . cough was
better; butmy disease was so deeply nnited, I was
