DISEASE OP THE LIVER.
DE an St a:—Agreenble to your desire, I write to
keep you apprized of the prospect: of the Ciickener
Sugar Coated Purgative Pill, in this city. You may
recollect, wheel first commenced selling your rnedi•
cine, which wan in May, 1344, we little dreamed of
the success th4t would crown the undertaking. Our
premises bud been so completely flooded by the ono
thousand and one unsaleable remedy fur every possi
ble complaint under the sun, that 1 seriously contem
platedhaving nothing more to do with any thing 'of the
kind. Ho.eever, at the most urgent solicitation, wo
consontedto make a trial of yours. At first we found
considerabledifficulty in attracting public attention to
wards them. People land been so often deceived by
the vile compounds which have fl Onded the country for
the lost 15 rears or more, • that they determined, iF
possible. never to he "taken in" again; and tee conse
quence was, they could. hardly be persuaded to accept
of the Piils, as Cite saving is, for "love nor money."
Thus matterrs proceeded for a week or two, w'nen, as
' . good luck would have it, "Mrs. N---, a lady of
our city, who had long sufrered from an affection of
the Livyr, accompanied by indigestion of the most ob
st inst . ., character, was persuaded tonccept of a box, on
condition that nothing was tobe paid for it, if they did
not afford her ti.e necessary relief. I must confess,
we otirselves had very little faith in the matter, know
ing as we did, that her complaint was ono of long
standing. and had been ereraccessfully treated by the
most eminent ri..ySizianso this and several neighbor.'
ing town.. But weliad determined to give the medi•
rine a fair mal t and if it proved to lie worthiest, it
would be a source of satisfaction to know it, both to
you and to us. Nn less to our joy than surprise, how.
ever. only a few days had elapsed, when the lady again •
presented herself at our counter aodenquired fey. anoth
er box. eI really think, Mr. sa" ye she,
' that your Pills are beginning to work a great change
in my health, red altogether for the better. When I
took the second dote, I been to Feel much betterthan
I did at iirEqi the vain in my side was censiderably re
lieved; my apPettle began to improve; and the blood
seemed to circulate through my veins as it did in my
youtlu'ol days. Since then, f have token tfie remainder
of the f•iffs, and my improvement has been sensibly
progressing a t
_ every repetition of the dose. have
nn doubt t hit a few more boxes will effectually cure
me." The r6;ult was a; she predicted. Her, health
is completely restored., The flush of youth and beau
tv returned 4&-her cheeks, and the prchipet of a
long and a happy life is before her., 'I am satisfied
she will never forget thtClickener Sugar-Coated Pills.
As might naturally ,be supposed, the news of this ex
traordinam core was rapidly disseminated throughthn
city end adjacent country; and scarcely a week had
elapsed, before enquiries began to he made for Click
ener's Sugai-Coated Purgative Pills; and the demand
has already increased to ;molt an .extent, that we find
the graritect difliculty in sepplying it In fact,. if it did
not seem tike eeriege'retidn, I mig,tit almost say that we
are literally besieged by women and children, labor
ing under every possible ailment yi.Mch "human flesh
is - heir to." The halt, the lame, and the blind; the
asthrnatic, t-xestimptive, end dyspeptic, are thronging
ou r doors in pursuit ei the ne . Yer•failing Panacea.—
' Testimonials of its salafary effects aro voluntarily
flowing in upon us from every quarter. One person
informs us he has been relieved of a most obstinate
Dyspepsie. Agotber has just recovered from a seri
ous attack of Apoplexy. A third has succeeded in
expelling from his system tile symptoms of Jaundice.
And a fourth has just recovered ftom nn attack of Pul
monary Consumption, which had confined him to his
bed for many months.—So we go. But do not fait to
keep us supp.7ied. Boobies 0.11 Petajl Trade, we
have standing orders fruM the country to a large
