way or news, this evening. The Senate. as you wore
apprized by my last, did not sit. Tho House did but
little better, so for as its proceedings might be calcu
lated to furnish matter for a newspaper letter. After
the t coding of the jeurnal of yesterday, the Hon.
Milton 13rown, of Tenn,pronoonced a very handsome,
and well merited Eulogy on the character of his pre
decessor, the lute Hon .1 H Peyton; whereupon the
House adjourned to Monday next.
On the whole, it is quite a dull time here; and it ap
pears to be generally conceded that it will be the dol.

verberating merronel of disapprobation as to the
