Tate Rittas.—The rivers are now both in fine or
der for navigation, and rising. A great amount of
business is doing on the Monongahela and Allegheny
wharves.

Norco.-eWe ere obligingly favored, says the
Washington Union of Novembet 8, with translations
of Mexican papers down to the 11th of October, just
received atthe departments. But we received them
too late to insert tkem in this evening's paper. We
shonid not suppose, from the accounts we have receiv•
ed, that the danger - of war depends with Mexico; but
that judging from the corteous roception she has given
to our squadron at Vera Crux, the hostile feeling is
rather abated.
Minato/La.—About one half of the State kas been
heard from; Democratic majority 2120—it will be
over three thousand. The wings will have about •
